Welcome to Bubble, the place where we bring together everything we love about skateboarding – all the fun, the nonsense, the madness. The jokes and stories of the enthusiasts, the nerdy knowledge you have to discuss with the homies at the park, the clips that out of nowhere come around with your new favorite skater, the feeling a great skate photo evokes and everything else in between that shimmers beautifully like a bubble and can be gone before you know it. We want to create and capture that for you.
It’s stating the obvious but still true, skateboarding has always been more than just tricks – even the pants matter, or how you pinch a frontside crooked. There’s so much to explore and that’s exactly what we’re here for. We’ll deep dive into the scene and talk to our favorite skaters, artists, filmers, photographers, zine-creators, shop owners, team managers and everyone else who gets a massive kick from cruising around on a wooden plank.
Whether you were there for the “golden age” of skate mags, or just rolled in with your first wallie, you’re welcome to this Bubble. We’re here to bring together the old heads, the groms, and everyone in between, to show how skateboarding keeps evolving while stubbornly staying the same. We’ll visit the bubbles out there, looking for the interesting stuff you find in the cracks, the misses, the second tries – or the third one, but that’s the last one, promise – and we’re here to document it all. A little messy, a little unpredictable – kinda like skating itself.
Our first issue is supposed to drop before Christmas, and we have videos and features ready for the upcoming weeks. We’ve been living, breathing and documenting skateboarding for ages and now we’re off for a new start. Welcome to our Bubble.
