Team Trouble Laax 2026

Posted in: Articles

Over the years, Team Trouble Laax has become a staple in the European skate calendar. Even US heavyweights are making the pilgrimage now, drawn by the unique atmosphere of this small Swiss mountain village. While Laax might be synonymous with snowboarding, the skate spirit here is undeniable – with a bowl and vert of the highest caliber (it is Switzerland, after all). What truly sets it apart, though, is that special vibe when a crew of long-time friends reunites to celebrate transition skating in team mode. This year delivered once again: creative costumes, insane doubles (Matteo Vandeputte & Pieter De Clus completely shut it down), a fun slappy session, and a gnarly vert showdown. We even had a little skate media summit on the side. Add in the usual shenanigans – parties at Riders Hotel, ice-cold dips in mountain lakes, snowskating – and a finals session where Tom Schaar, Kieran Woolley, Raphae Ueda, and Lizzie Armanto went absolutely nuts. Good times as always. Already counting down the days until the next one!
